"Pleasant Goat and Big Big Wolf" Movie 4 "Mission Incredible: Adventures on the Dragon's Trail" Reports Robust Box Office
Achieves Box Office Receipts of HK$100 Million within the First Four Days

HONG KONG, Jan 17, 2012 - (ACN Newswire) - IMAGI International Holdings Limited ("IMAGI", together with its subsidiaries, "the Group", HKSE Stock Code: 585) is pleased to announce that the latest movie of its "Pleasant Goat and Big Big Wolf" series - "Mission Incredible: Adventures on the Dragon's Trail" ("Movie 4") reported a remarkable box office receipts since debut in China on 12 January 2012. Despite the recent poor weather in China, particularly the heavy fog and frost weather in the northern region and the heavy rainfall and snowy weather in the southern region, children's enthusiasm for "Pleasant Goat and Big Big Wolf" has continued unabated. Movie 4's first day box office receipts have already reached HK$27 million, 46.7% higher than the previous movie's first day box office receipts. The box office receipts for the first three days have reached HK$77 million, 12.7% higher than the previous movie. As at 15 January, Movie 4 has shown a remarkable performance with accumulated revenue of approximately HK$100 million.

In Movie 4, the character Xiao Shen Long, a trademark owned by the Walt Disney Company ("Disney"), is a new cast member which is the first-ever appearance for a Disney character in a non-Disney production. This collaboration demonstrates the Group's China-originated animation cartoon brand "Pleasant Goat and Big Big Wolf" has captured the attention of the international market. The alliance has also provided a strong boost for the brand to enter into the international market in the future.

During this year's winter and New Year holidays, blockbusters scheduled for release include "The Great Magician", "You Are the Apple of My Eye", "Sherlock Holmes: A Game Of Shadows", "The Flowers Of War", as well as another Chinese local animation "The Monkey King". However, "Pleasant Goat and Big Big Wolf" still enjoys the support from cinemas and its average ranking among current-run films has constantly been in the top three positions with average screening of 3,650 times a day in China. This clearly demonstrates the strong market acceptance of Movie 4.

Mr Soh Szu Wei, CEO and Executive Director of IMAGI, said, "We are thrilled with the excellent box office generated by Movie 4. Watching 'Pleasant Goat and Big Big Wolf' has become one of the activities for whole families and children to celebrate the winter holiday and Lunar New Year in China. We expect that the box office will continue to increase during the Chinese New Year holiday and are confident that the revenue from Movie 4 will break the record of RMB147 million set by Movie 3. Apart from the box office revenue, Movie 4 has also brought substantial movie advertising income and consumer product licensing royalties to the Group. The recent data provided by Beijing OpenBook Company Limited indicates that Movie 4's licensed illustrated book 'Mission Incredible: Adventures on the Dragon's Trail - Movie Comic' continues to lead in the sales ranking of children's books in China during the first two weeks of January 2012. This strong performance graphically demonstrates the strong popularity of Movie 4's licensed products. On the other hand, we are particularly excited about Movie 4's release in Taiwan on 20 January. As 'Pleasant Goat and Big Big Wolf' is becoming better-known and more popular in Taiwan, the management is eagerly anticipating more good news about the promising box office of this film."

Meanwhile, Movie 4 is initially scheduled to be released in Hong Kong during April, which is also expected to raise keen interest in the city. As the launch of each sequel of the "Pleasant Goat and Big Big Wolf" series has become an annually anticipated event in China, Hong Kong and Taiwan, the Group's production team has already embarked on drafting the story outline of Movie 5. It aims to continue to offer such wholesome and enjoyable entertainment to audiences in the Year of the Snake while further boosting the brand image and awareness of the "Pleasant Goat and Big Big Wolf" movies.
